Overview of Fiberglass Composite Ducts

The excellent insulation and noise reduction performance of fiberglass composite air ducts is favored by a large number of users. Compared with traditional process air ducts, it can also save users about 20% of pipeline system investment.
Fiberglass composite air duct and glass wool board are cut with cutting tools, bonded, sealed with sealing tape, and reinforced. The double protective layer of the composite glass wool board is made of glass fiber cloth and composite aluminum foil, or the inner protective layer is made of glass wool board. The glass wool board is formed by centrifugal method using glass fibers and resin glue, which are then hot pressed and cured to form. The standard specifications for the board are a density of 80kg/m3 and a thickness of 25mm. Due to the porous lightweight material, low heat seeking coefficient, and high sound absorption coefficient of the composite glass wool board interlayer, the fiberglass composite air duct has good insulation and noise reduction performance; At the same time, air ducts have the characteristics of light material, short construction period, fire and moisture resistance, no harmful volatiles, beautiful appearance, long service life, and low cost. Compared with galvanized steel sheet ducts with insulation, composite fiberglass ducts can save more than 30% of engineering costs, not including the saved cost of field equipment. They are the most economical and applicable ventilation ducts for low and medium pressure air conditioning and ventilation systems.
